Habits of healthy people
As a first step to balancing our body and our thoughts is to listen to our body. The physical body works a lot better when we live the way it was designed. Below are some simple requirements for the healthy functioning of our body.
The aim is not perfection in all these things, but to experience and learn that Health is Simple when we listen to our body.
Breathing
The first expression of our individual life on earth is to breath. Steady, deep rhythmic breathing is the first simple essential step to health. During inspiration the air oxygenates and revitalises the blood and body's cells while the out breath helps the cells detoxify their waste. Breathing deeply into the belly and lungs naturally re-energises and cleanses the body.
Movement
Life is movement. Everything internally and externally is in constant motion. Daily movement improves all our physiological and neurological functions. .
Water Intake
Pure water is essential to every physiological function within the body. It can be argued that every disease has cellular dehydration at its core. Drinking alcohol, coffee, tea and soft drinks all increase the dehydration of the body.
Real Food
Much of what we eat does not provide our body with the nutrients that our body needs to carry out basic functions. Eat food as close as possible to it's original state.
Relationships
Our relationship with ourselves directly impacts our physical health. Being in angry, co dependant relationships where you are not heard or appreciated will have a negative impact on you.
Thinking
Together with hydration and nutrition the best way to avoid degenerative brain function is to continue being interested in life. The brain responds like a muscle if it isn't used it will slow down and get sluggish. Continue to learn new skills and actively engage your mind it is never to late to learn new things.
Stillness
To have times of stillness each day or throughout week are essential to health. Time to reflect, slow down and let things go, time to switch off without distractions, time to listen to the silence. Stillness is the road to revealing who you really are; free of thoughts, voices, lists, judgements.
Something To Fight For
What is the passion in your life? Beyond what the world has told you about who you are, what is it that drives you to jump out of bed and love life? Why are you here, what is the purpose, what happens next? Are you just going through the paces or have you made a choice about your life?
Recovery From The Past
Many of us have accepted and grown around past physical or emotional injury. We carry the legacy of this in various ways; birth trauma, retained primitive reflexes, toxicity, physical injury, being overweight...
Can you imagine your life without needing to refer to this history, how would you be different, what could you achieve for yourself?
We are all handmade and therefore unique.
Do Different Things
Often we have to do things differently in order to think differently. What could you do differently today that would create a different tomorrow for you?
